About the Book

This work of poetry is a work of love and agony for the country I love so much. So, who do I thank first? Well, probably one of the most controversial statements made by a black is this, I’m grateful that I was born in the United States Of America.

America has always been a place of hope and I hope this work ads to the gumbo of life that is America.

My wife is the rock that anchors our family and without her there would be no me, no 5 wonderful children and 9 beautiful grandchildren.

Thanks for allowing me to never give up on dreams

Thanks to public libraries where I could go to escape the cuts (the streets of Corpus Christi, Texas) and read all day.

And, lastly thanks for giving me a voice to say my say.

Please, don’t give up on America, the last hope of sanity and humanity on planet earth, even though we are in the middle of a national mental breakdown.

Fighting for good is ok, fighting each other is birthing doomsday for us all.
